Scott R. Miller

Scott is a partner in the intellectual property law group at Sheppard Mullin. He presently works out of the Los Angeles and Costa Mesa offices. Scott handles both transactional and litigation matters in the areas of patent, trademark, trade secret and unfair or false advertising law.
Scott’s connection to epilepsy is through his daughter who had a febrile seizure at 26 months old. She was later diagnosed with epilepsy. Her seizures were not controlled by medication. Between 2016 and 2017, she underwent three surgical procedures and has been seizure free for more than two years. Scott hopes to use his family’s experience to assist other families in their search for proper treatment including surgical intervention where available to address their epilepsy conditions.
Scott is a native of Nebraska, and thus follows the Cornhuskers (particularly during football season). He is also an avid wine collector and enjoys skiing and hiking with his family and bike riding on the weekends with his bicycle team, the Bad Hombres.
