Nicole Freese is a Southern California native. She holds a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science and Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She worked as an addiction specialist until her fourth child was born and decided to take time off to raise her family. Time went by in a flash and when her youngest daughter turned 5, she had an opportunity to change gears and became a Real Estate agent. She and her partner, Lisa, are the top sales team at their brokerage firm, The Sher Group. Nicole still volunteers her time a couple days a week to help others with addiction.
Nicole was first introduced to the Epilepsy Foundation by her good friend and EFOC Executive Director, Shannon Abdul-Wahab. Her younger son, August was diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE) and is currently being treated by a former Care & Cure fellow.
Nicole and her husband, Josh Freese, a professional drummer, live in Long Beach, CA with their 4 children. In their spare time they enjoy spending time in Palm Springs, taking their poodles for walks and traveling around the world with their children.
