Janani S. Rana is a family law attorney at Minyard Morris in Newport Beach. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist and limits her practice to Orange County matters.

Janani became involved with the Epilepsy Foundation after her beautiful baby girl was diagnosed at 7 months old with Infantile Spasms, a rare and potentially devastating form of epilepsy. It was actually the videos uploaded to Google by Dr. Shaun Hussain at UCLA, coincidentally the first recipient of Care and Cure’s pediatric epilepsy fellowship grant, that sent Janani and her husband to the ER just in time to get her daughter treated with first line medication before irreversible damage was done. Because of that Care and Cure grant and the amazing care that she received from the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and their Level 4 epilepsy center, Janani’s daughter is currently thriving. By joining the Advisory Board of the Orange County Chapter of the Epilepsy Foundation, Janani hopes to aid the fight to ensure that easy and timely access to pediatric epilepsy care becomes a reality for all parents in Orange County.

In addition to her family law practice, Janani also serves as Co-President of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California (SABA-SC) and is on the Associate Board of Project Youth OCBF. She loves spending quality time with her family and curling up with a glass of wine and a good book. On most weekends, you can find her at the pool with her daughter, who loves to swim.
